Everton have joined Sevilla in the frame for Sampdoria’s in-demand Colombian striker Luis Muriel, say reports in Spain.

According to Marca, the Toffees have tabled a bid of €20m for the 26-year-old which is said to exceed the €18m offered by Los Rojiblancos last month.

The Colombian striker signed a new long-term deal at the Italian club until 2021 back in March but is the number one target striking target of the Andalucian club this summer, according to multiple reports in Spain and Italy.

Sevilla’s loan deals for Luciano Vietto and Stevan Jovetic have expired this summer and new sporting director Oscar Arias is keen to reshape the club’s attack, with Muriel said to be the prime option.

Muriel scored 13 goals and assisted nine in 33 appearances for the Genoa-based side last season, while Everton have already secured a deal for Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez.
