La Liga chief Javier Tebas claims ‘you already know’ which side he wants to win El Clasico, having already confessed to his support of Real Madrid.
Los Blancos travel to Camp Nou on Saturday knowing a victory could take them nine points clear at the top of the league standings and increase Barcelona’s domestic winless run to four matches.
"I want the Clasico to be a big party for all of La Liga to benefit from," Tebas said at a Microsoft event.
"But I won't say who I want to win [because] you already know who.
"The winner will be important in the La Liga title race. I've said on other occasions who I want [to win], but today is not the day for doing so."
The 54-year-old had already confirmed before an El Clasico last season that he had always been a fan of Real Madrid.
"If I say I don't support Madrid, then that would be hypocritical and I would be painted as a liar – and I certainly don't like to be called a liar,” he had said.
"Imagine if I said that I loved all teams and then it came out that I have supported Madrid since I was a boy, went to 27 Clasicos in the past and celebrated Madrid wins with friends in a bar."
