Real Madrid are linked with a winter move for Mario Gomez, currently on loan at Besiktas from Fiorentina.
Fichajes.net cites reports from the Turkish Press that claim Germany international Gomez could be the first signing of the Zinedine Zidane era, as soon as the current transfer window.
Gomez is touted as a replacement for Karim Benzema amid claims of a squad overhaul at Santiago Bernabeu.
The 30-year-old has netted 15 goals in 22 games so far this season after a dry spell in Serie A, managing 10 in 32 last year and four in 13 the year before, having been a big-money buy from Bayern Munich.
