Victor Sanchez says he is seeking an all-round improvement from Deportivo La Coruna when they travel to La Liga rivals Rayo Vallecano on Monday.
The Galicians have drawn twice and scored just one goal in their opening two matches of the season, and the Coach is hoping to see more firepower from his side at Vallecas, while maintaining their defensive organisation, which has seen them concede only once.
“We’re in perfect condition to face a very intense and bold team [in Rayo],” he said at a Press conference.
“We’re very demanding [in our work] and seek to improve in all areas, but we won’t favour one over another.
“We want to improve in defence, attack, be able to create more chances, record clean sheets … We want to improve in everything.
“Rayo are a team who play for the win at any venue, so that makes two teams attacking, but we must also ensure that we defend well.
“[Rayo] are very bold and ready to counter us at any opportunity, but we’ve worked on a strategy of our own.
“We place importance on both attacking and defending, but we hope to start scoring as soon as possible. Goals help us win matches.”
