Real Madrid could make an approach to Sevilla for sporting director Monchi as Florentino Perez looks to revitalise the club.
Perez on Monday sacked Carlo Ancelotti and cited the desire to give the club a boost as part of the reason.
Marca suggest Monchi, credited with much of Sevilla’s success in recent years, is a possible appointment as sporting director to fill what’s described as ‘a gap’ at Santiago Bernabeu.
Monchi has been linked with Madrid before and is a long-term objective for Perez, Marca add, but Rafa Benitez is expected to be appointed as Ancelotti’s successor and other reports claim he wants a decisive say in transfers.
