‘Espanyol a must-win for Celta’

Eduardo Berizzo is confident Celta Vigo can draw inspiration from their last two matches when they face Espanyol in a must-win encounter this evening.

The Galicians ended a run of six straight defeats in La Liga with a 1-1 draw against Valencia last week and earned their first victory of 2015 on Wednesday, beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in the Copa del Rey.

“Our last two games have given us our confidence back” the Coach said at Press conference yesterday.

“We’ve recovered that winning feeling, despite our elimination [from the Copa]. I think both games have left us feeling positive.

“We need to win in the League, and hopefully we’ll get it [against Espanyol]. In this very tight division, every point counts.

“We’d be very happy to win in Catalonia. We always play to win.

“[Espanyol's] 4-4-1-1 forces us to play with two central midfielders in front of [Nemanja] Radoja, but our approach remains the same.

“We must play quickly, be intense when applying pressure and have much mobility in attack.”
