Paco Jemez refused to be despondent about his Rayo Vallecano side despite a home reverse against Elche.
Elche recorded a 3-2 win at Vallecas at Sunday lunchtime but Jemez told reporters after the match that he was content.
“You always know you can lose. We can lose to anyone and beat anyone,” he said, according to AS.
“We try to do everything possible to win but we know there are three things that can happen [win, lose or draw].
“Overall I am very happy with our effort and I don’t think we have a problem. We have made mistakes in two areas and we feel that this week and against Deportivo, we’ve conceded goals without knowing how.
“We’ve conceded too many goals and created enough chances, but we have to get points by scoring.
“Elche played to defend, to their strengths, and they were successful in front of goal, because with few chances they have scored three times.
“When one team wins they deserved it. We’ve lost because we made mistakes in attack and in defence.”
