Munir living Spain dream

Munir El Haddadi has said he is in dream world after the Barcelona youngster was called into the Spain squad to replace the injured Diego Costa.

Costa pulled out of the party to play Macedonia on Monday with a thigh injury and Munir got the nod as his replacement, having played for the Under-21s this week.

Munir has played only a handful of games for his club, scoring on his debut against Elche in the first game of the season, and is eligible for Morocco as well as La Roja.

But having been named by Vicente Del Bosque, Munir has spoken of his excitement at joining up with the seniors.

“When I was told I was left with my mouth open,” AS reports the 18-year-old as saying.

“It’s a dream to play with the Spain team and I am very happy that it has come true.

“Right now I want to enjoy it, seize the opportunity and give the best impression of myself.

“It’s good to win every title and I would be very proud. I want to play for Spain.

“Every summer I supported the Spain team since I was a child, and now I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me.”
