Valencia Coach Juan Antonio Pizzi has said his side have to take the points against Real Sociedad to have a chance of European football next season.
Los Che go into the game against La Real in eighth place, seven points behind their sixth-placed opponents, who are also aiming for European qualification.
Pizzi told a pre-match Press conference that he expects his side to maintain their Europa League form now they are returning to domestic action.
“There shouldn’t be a difference playing in Europe and playing in La Liga. If we always play to our limit and are competitive then things won’t go wrong,” he said.
“We have to maintain that to keep getting good results.
“It’s a new challenge on Sunday and we’re looking for a good result.
“There aren’t so many points to play for now and if we want to play in Europe we need all the points we can get.
“Real Sociedad have some players who can make the difference and they’ve got a good points tally. They’re in the running for the Champions League.”
