Klaas-Jan Huntelaar believes that Schalke have what it takes to beat Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The Bundesliga outfit host Los Blancos in their Champions League Last 16 first leg clash this week.
And the former Madrid striker is confident that his current team can overcome his former employers.
“It's special of course in many ways,” he told Marca.
“Madrid is a great club with some fantastic people, and I used to play there.
“I very much look forward to playing against them.
“For me it was very special to score goals for Real Madrid, especially in front of the home crowd at the Bernabeu.
“I think that Real Madrid are the favourite but we play the first leg at home and we are going to come out fighting.
“But that said, Madrid is clearly the favourite to win the round and the Champions League.
“I think our best weapon is our attacking play. We can score a goal at any point during the match and we are always a threat up front and very vertical and determined in front of goal.”
