Inter are reported as having already contacted Diego Simeone over the possibility of him taking over as Coach in the summer.
The Nerazzurri have, according to Mediaset this week, been in contact with their former midfielder over the possibility of him replacing Andrea Stramaccioni at San Siro in time for 2013-14.
Simeone has impressed in his 13 months so far at Atletico Madrid, taking them to Europa League and UEFA Super Cup wins and is currently sitting in second in La Liga with the team.
The Argentine has so far failed to sign a new contract, with his current deal at the Vicente Calderon expiring in the summer.
Simeone spent two years at San Siro as an Inter player, whilst he already also has experience of coaching in Italy, after a brief stint at Catania.
