Malaga have confirmed that Eliseu has suffered medial ligament damage to his left knee.
The 28-year-old wide-man limped off in Sunday's match against Real Zaragoza, and the Andalusian club have today revealed that the 29-year-old has sprained the ligament in his knee.
The Boquerones have described the injury as a Grade II sprain, which means the Portugal could be out for anywhere between four to 12 weeks.
The former Lazio man has been ever-present in Manuel Pellegrini's side this season, playing 21 League games so far.
