Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Paul Pogba Manchester United stay

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Paul Pogba will remain at the club for the 2019-20 season.

Pogba stated during United's pre-season campaign that he wanted to move on from Old Trafford for a 'new challenge', with Real Madrid widely reported to be his destination for the new season.

However, despite interest from Real Madrid the Spanish giants never made a formal bid and the Norwegian boss has confirmed that time has run out on a possible deal.

PSG comeback will help Man United at Barcelona - Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists Manchester United’s comeback at Paris Saint-Germain will help them in their visit to Barcelona.

United came from a 0-2 home leg deficit to progress past the Parisians 3-3 on aggregate and now trail 1-0 to the Blaugrana ahead of Tuesday’s second leg in the Camp Nou.

“[There will be] Many emotions, of course it's a fantastic memory for me but I don’t look back on that night too often,” Solskjaer told his pre-match press conference, as cited by BBC Sport.

Manchester United can beat Barcelona - Jose Mourinho

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho believes the side are capable of defeating Barcelona, who “will respect” the English giants.

The Portuguese was sacked at Old Trafford in December but believes the current team, now coached by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, can build on their victories over Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in the tournament.

“United this season was capable to win against Juventus and against PSG why not to do it against Barcelona,” Mourinho told RT News.
