Loris Karius: Sergio Ramos has never apologised for my injury

Loris Karius has clarified that Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has ‘never apologised’ for a challenge during last season’s Champions League final.

The former Liverpool goalkeeper was involved in a collision with the Madrid captain during the showpiece event in May, which Madrid won 3-1.

The German shot-stopper made two high-profile errors and weeks later was diagnosed as having sustained concussion during the game.

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius sustained a concussion during last month's Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid, according to doctors.

The German shot-stopper travelled to the United States to undergo tests in Boston which stated immediate impacts were ‘likely’ and it was ‘possible’ that such an injury ‘would affect performance’.

Report: Liverpool eye €100m Oblak

Liverpool are reportedly considering whether to pay €100m for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

AS cites a report in The Mirror, which claims Liverpool are already looking for a new No 1 after Loris Karius’ howlers during the Champions League Final on Saturday, which saw him gift Madrid two goals in a 3-1 defeat for his side.

Out of that, Oblak would have emerged as the Reds’ favoured target, with the publications noting they would be willing to pay his €100m release clause.

Police probe Karius death threats

Merseyside Police will probe death threats made to Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius after Saturday’s Champions League Final against Real Madrid.

BBC Sport reports Karius and his family ‘were the subject of threats’ after the goalkeeper’s two blunders helped Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev.

“We take social media posts of this nature extremely seriously. Offences will be investigated,” police told the British broadcaster.

“Officers are aware of a number of comments and threats made via social media.

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson claims Loris Karius is finished at Anfield after his Real Madrid nightmare but called out his teammates for not consoling him.

Karius gifted Real Madrid the Champions League on Saturday after his throw was deflected in by Karim Benzema, before the German goalkeeper fumbled Gareth Bale’s long-range drive into his own net.
