Madrid 'ready' for Icardi bid - report

Real Madrid are working to be ‘ready’ to submit an offer for Inter striker Mauro Icardi in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The highly-rated Argentine has a €110m release clause in his contract with the Milanese giants which Marca report is a figure which the Spanish and European champions could meet.

The Madrid daily cites a report in Corriere Dello Sport which states the forward is a key transfer target for Los Blancos.

Inter: No Madrid Icardi contact

Real Madrid have not made any contact with Inter regarding a move for striker Mauro Icardi, according to the Italian club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio.

The Argentine striker has been in remarkable form for the Nerazzurri this season, netting 16 goals in 15 Serie A appearances leading to speculation Los Blancos could trigger his €110m release clause.

“There’s no need to convince him into staying at Inter, he has a long contract here and his will is very clear,” Ausilio told reporters.

Inter striker Mauro Icardi is said to be open to the idea of joining Real Madrid, but Inter want to give him a new contract, according to a report in Spain.

The highly-rated Argentine has a €110m release clause in his contract with the Milanese giants which Marca report is a figure which the Spanish and European champions could meet.

The report states that officials at Madrid are becoming increasingly concerned with their side’s current campaign and are keen to strengthen their squad in the next two transfer windows.

Icardi: I wouldn't answer RM call

Mauro Icardi has appeared to rule out the possibility of a switch to Real Madrid, insisting he ‘would not answer’ a phone call from the club.

The Inter striker - who has netted 91 goals for the Milanese giants since his 2013 summer switch from Sampdoria – is attracting attention at the Bernabeu, according to Spanish media.

“If I receive a phone call from Real Madrid, then I won't answer,” Icardi told Sky Sports after netting a brace in his side’s 3-1 win at Cagliari.

'Icardi will join Real Madrid next year'

Inter striker Mauro Icardi will join Real Madrid next summer, according to former Milan forward and Premium Sport commentator Daniele Massaro.

The Argentine has been in devastating form this season, netting 13 goals in 15 outings for the Nerazzuri and former Italy international Massaro believes he is destined to move to the Bernabeu.

“I can tell you today that Mauro Icardi will be a Real Madrid striker next year,” Massaro said, in quotes cited by Marca and Diario AS.

“His arrival will be at the expense of (Karim) Benzema.”

Icardi rejected RM for Inter stay

Mauro Icardi turned down a move to a host of top European sides including Real Madrid before signing a new deal with Inter Milan.

Wanda Nara - the wife and agent of Icardi - told Sport Week that the Nerazzurri captain signed a new long-term deal with the side despite offers from a range of clubs including Madrid, Juventus, Napoli, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur.

Atleti make Icardi top target?

Atletico Madrid have reportedly made Mauro Icardi their top transfer target after receiving indications that the striker wants to leave Inter.

According to AS, Icardi’s agent and wife Wanda Nara has the “outline” of Atleti’s contract in her hands, while the Argentine has already spoken to Atleti boss Diego Simeone, whom he considers one of the best in the world.

Despite Nara’s insistence that Icardi would be staying at Inter last week, the newspaper adds the pair are keen on a change of scenery.
