Fede Valverde returns for Real Madrid

Fede Valverde has given Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane a timely fitness boost ahead of their clash with Sevilla CF.

The Uruguayan international has played just ten minutes of La Liga action so far this season, due to a persistent knee problem, however he has now returned to full training for Los Blancos.

He is expected to be included in the travelling squad to face former manager Julen Lopetegui's side, with Zidane battling a growing injury list, despite the season only being a month old.

Real Madrid have no intention of selling Marco Asensio this summer, despite reports linking him with an exit.

Zinedine Zidane has overseen a transfer overhaul of his first team squad ahead of the 2019-20 season, with over €300m of players coming in and over €200m heading for the Santiago Bernabeu exit door.

The Real Madrid player was on the pitch for every minute for both victories and claimed the regular football is helping his own confidence and self-belief.

The 23 year-old was called up to the squad by national team boss Luis Enrique, however he suffered a calf injury in training and now his participation in the double header is in doubt.

Liverpool are the favourites to sign Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio this summer and not Juventus, according to fresh reports in Italy.

On Monday, Turin-based Tuttosport claimed Juve – who swooped for Cristiano Ronaldo from Madrid last summer – have already made an enquiry for the in-demand Asensio.

However, Tuttomercatoweb has now countered this report by stating it is the Merseyside club who are ‘in the front row’ for the Spaniard.
