Real Mallorca loan Watford winger Cucho Hernandez

Real Mallorca have completed the season-long loan signing of Watford winger Juan Camilo "Cucho" Hernandez, the club have confirmed.

The 20-year-old is mainly a forward but he can also play as a right winger, and starred in his season-long loan at Huesca last campaign.

Former Real Madrid striker Cristo Gonzalez joins Huesca from Udinese

Huesca have completed the season-long loan signing of Udinese forward Cristo Gonzalez, who was signed from Real Madrid this summer.

In July, Marca outlined the initial operation which took the Tenerife-born forward to the Italian club, which saw Los Blancos retain 50% of the player’s rights.

Done deal: Getafe sign Huesca forward Enric Gallego

Getafe have completed the signing of Huesca forward Enric Gallego after triggering his €6m release clause, the club have confirmed.

The 32-year-old netted five goals across 19 appearances for the Aragonese club last season but failed to prevent their relegation to the second tier.

It has been an incredible 12 months for the forward who only signed his first professional contract with Huesca a month ago but will now play in European football for Los Azulones.

Athletic Bilbao's Mikel Rico joins Huesca

Mikel Rico has returned to former club Huesca, after ten years away at Granada and Athletic Bilbao.

The 34-year old's contract at San Mames expired at the end of June 2019, and the club informed him they would not be offering him a new deal after six years in the Basque Country.

Huesca have now moved to bring the popular midfielder to the back to the Estadio El Alcoraz, where he played a key role in helping them achieve promotion on loan from Poli Ejido in 2007-08, before signing permanently for the 2008-09 season.

Relegated Huesca have confirmed former Rayo Vallecano boss Michel as their new head coach.

Michel was dismissed from his role at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas back in March, with Rayo and Huesca both locked in a battle against relegation. 

After their own relegation was confirmed, weeks before Rayo also slipped back down to the second tier under former boss Paco Jemez, the Aragon club sacked manager Francisco Rodriguez.

Match fixing scandal rocks Spain - Valencia players implicated

A match-fixing scandal has hit Spanish football with Valencia’s final day win at Real Valladolid among the games under suspicion, say reports in Spain.

The Espejo Público programme on TV station Antena3, claims that authorities are monitoring the match which saw Los Che win by two goals and qualify for the Champions League.

Vidal: Champions League is the dream

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal made no secret of where the club's attention is, following their dull 0-0 La Liga draw away at Huesca on Saturday. 

Manager Ernesto Valverde rested ten players from the starting eleven that beat Manchester United in midweek - ahead of Tuesday's return leg against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side - with Vidal one of the players to come into the side.

La Blaugrana remain nine points clear in the title race, with Valverde channeling his attention into Europe, and he Chilean international echoed this mentality.
