Celta Vigo talk with Barcelona midfielder Rafinha

Celta Vigo are in negotiations with Barcelona for a deadline day move for midfielder Rafinha Alcantara, report Marca.

It is claimed that the deal being discussed is a season-long loan move with a compulsory €10m purchase option, after Rafinha - whose current Barca deal expires in 2020 - renews his Camp Nou deal.

Confirmed: Barcelona's Rafinha damages ACL

Rafinha could miss the rest of the season after Barcelona confirmed the midfielder had damaged knee ligaments.

Rafinha appeared as a second-half substitute during Barca’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday, but his club announced less than 24 hours later that he ‘ruptured the ACL in his left knee’ and will undergo surgery next week.

Rafinha issues rallying cry after Barcelona beat Inter

Rafinha affirmed Barcelona ‘are going to go with everything’ against Real Madrid in the Clasico after their 2-0 victory over Inter.

“I’m very happy because I started, I feel good, I scored and we won,” the midfielder said after his goal in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“This result gives us a lot of confidence and, like always, we’re going to go with everything on Sunday.

Inter 'can't sign Rafinha, Cancelo'

Inter are not in a position to sign Rafinha (pictured) or Joao Cancelo, on loan from Barcelona and Valencia respectively, but may ‘in the future’.

Brazilian midfielder Rafinha joined the Nerazzurri from Barca in a loan deal in January while wing-back Cancelo spent a season on loan at the Milanese giants from Los Che.

However, Inter are said to not be in a position to active their right to buy clauses due to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

‘Inter and Barca must do a deal’

Rafinha Alcantara’s father and agent Mazinho has asked Inter and Barcelona to come to an agreement so his son can remain in Milan.

In an interview with Tutto Sport, Mazinho insisted that the future of the midfielder does not depend on whether the Italian side reaches the Champions League, and has asked both clubs to broker a deal.

Inter want Rafinha, Cancelo long-term

Inter want to extend their current temporary deals for Rafinha and Joao Cancelo, according to the club’s sporting director Piero Ausilio.

Cancelo joined the Nerazzurri on a season-long loan deal from Valencia in August while Barcelona’s Rafinha arrived in Milan on a loan deal in January.

“We promised not to talk about the transfer market until May 20, and that goes for both players coming in or going out,” Ausilio told Mediaset Premium.

Father: Rafinha joining Inter

Rafinha’s father has confirmed that the Barcelona midfielder will join Inter. “He just wants to do what he loves at an excellent club.”

Inter are set to sign Rafinha on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season for €35m plus €3m in bonuses, and Mazinho explained the reasons behind his son’s transfer.

“Rafinha wants to join Inter because he simply wants to play,” the former Brazil midfielder told Globo Esporte.
