Valencia CF fans protest over Peter Lim ownership

Valencia CF supporters have been protesting about Peter Lim's ownership of the club ahead of today's La Liga clash with Leganes.

Supporters gathered outside the Estadio Mestalla, with banners of 'Lim Go Home' and chanted for the club's owner to leave his role at the club with immediate effect.

Lim has endured a fractured relationship with supporters following his purchase of the club back in 2014, with a purchase of a controlling 70% stake of shares in the club.

Valencia CF midfielder Dani Parejo confirms support for Albert Celades

Valencia CF captain Dani Parejo has offered his full support to new manager Albert Celades.

Reports in Spanish media outlets had been rife with allegations that the Valencia CF squad were angry with the dismissal of former boss Marcelino earlier this month, and that senior players were unhappy with Celades taking over the reins.

Celades' tenure kicked off with a 5-2 defeat away at FC Barcelona in La Liga, but they pulled off a gutsy 1-0 win at Chelsea in the Champions League and Parejo stated after the game that Celades has the squad's backing.

Valencia boss Marcelino: Players looked like dancers on icy Alaves pitch!

Valencia boss Marcelino claimed ‘the players looked like dancers trying not to fall’ on Alaves’ icy pitch during his side’s 2-1 Liga defeat on Saturday.

Alaves leapfrogged Real Madrid into fourth place and opened a nine-point lead over Valencia as Borja Baston and Tomas Pina goals cancelled out Dani Parejo’s early finish.

The result left Los Che down in 11th, nine points adrift of the Basques, but Marcelino was more angry with the slippery Mendizorroza turf.
