Nolito on the verge of Celta Vigo move

Sevilla CF forward Nolito is set to return to former club Celta Vigo.

Fran Escriba's side have been linked with a move for the former Manchester City player for the majority of the summer, however a deal is yet to be struck between the two clubs. 

The reported issue is over Sevilla's demand for €2.5m for the 32-year old, despite his contract at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ending in June 2020.

Celta Vigo out of running for Sevilla's Nolito

Forward Nolito may stay at Sevilla this summer with Celta Vigo unwilling to meet his €4m valuation, according to reports.

El Mundo Deportivo cite a report in Faro de Vigo that the Galician outfit are unwilling to meet the transfer fee for the forward, who they thought would be available at a minimal fee.

Celta Vigo close to Sevilla forward Nolito

Celta Vigo are hopeful of concluding a deal to sign out-of-favour Sevilla forward Nolito this summer, according to Marca.

The 32-year-old has one year left on his contract at the Andalusian club but is likely to request that he be allowed to leave for a minimal fee.

The only hold up in the deal is Sevilla sanctioning the move, with the forward keen to return to Celta - even on a reduced wage - and there being no other obstacle.

Former Man City forward Nolito wants Celta Vigo return

Out-of-favour Sevilla forward Nolito wants to return to Celta Vigo this summer, according to a report in Marca.

The 32-year-old has one year left on his contract at the Andalusian club but is likely to request that he be allowed to leave for a minimal fee.

The forward featured in just 74 minutes of La Liga action last year and despite featuring 13 times in cup competitions, desperately wants more first-team football.

Nolito: If Sevilla do not want me I will leave

Sevilla midfieler Nolito has said that he will leave the club if the new manager decides he has no place for the former Manchester City player.

Nolito, 32, has missed a large chunk of the 2018-19 season with a serious ankle injury an he is not set to be back in action until at least April, but he is determined to return to the team when he is fit.

"This year has not gone as I would have liked, it was been the hardest of my career on a personal level. 

"But I want to continue playing here, I want to show what I can do when fit.

'Sevilla can beat Barca' - Nolito

Nolito insists Sevilla can defeat Barcelona in Saturday’s Copa del Rey final and the side can handle ‘difficult matches’.

The Andalusian club are underdogs against the Catalan giants for the showpiece, although Vincenzo Montella’s side led Barca with three minutes remaining in a recent league match, which ended 2-2.

“Barcelona are favourites but in the end this is one game and we believe we can beat anyone,” Nolito told Diario Sport.

Nolito: Sevilla season impressive

Sevilla forward Nolito has reiterated his side’s achievement of still competing in two cup competitions alongside their league campaign.

Los Rojiblancos are in next month’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona while they qualified for their Champions League quarter finals for the first time in 60 years.

“We can see how difficult it is to be fighting in three competitions,” Nolito told Cadena Ser.

Nolito asks fans for 'more love'

Sevilla forward Nolito has called on the club and supporters so show unity and asking that they show their team ‘more love’.

The Andalucians have won only one point from their last five league outings and have slipped to sixth in the table, with new Coach Vincenzo Montella losing each of his first two La Liga fixtures.

“It’s more important than ever for us to remain united but we need more love,” Nolito told BeIn Sports after Sunday’s defeat.

Nolito ‘dreaming’ of World Cup

Nolito assures “my best is yet to come” after a slow start at Sevilla and is ‘dreaming’ of a place in Spain’s World Cup team.

Nolito has scored just once in eight appearances for Sevilla since joining from Manchester City over the summer and has not been called up to a Spain squad in 2017, but the attacker believes he will find his feet sooner rather than later.

“I feel better with each training session,” he said at a Press conference for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Spartak Moscow.

Nolito targets double figures

Nolito is aiming to reach double figures for Sevilla this season in his first season back in Spain after spending an unhappy year in England.

The 30-year-old scored only six goals for Manchester City although three of those arrived in his first four league appearances.

“My aim for the season is to score more than ten goals this season,” Nolito told Radio Sevilla.

“Of course this is now always possible in La Liga so we will see if I can achieve this but it is my aim.”
