Barcelona to battle Manchester City for Juventus' Rodrigo Bentacur

Barcelona are set to be challenged by Premier League champions Manchester City in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur.

The defending La Liga champions have been a long term admirer of the Uruuguayn international, and were reportedly set for a summer bid for him prior to the arrival of Antoine Griezmann at the Camp Nou.

Brahim Diaz set for Real Madrid loan move
Real Madrid have reportedly performed a U-Turn on loaning out Brahim Diaz in January.
Zinedine Zidane stated in the summer that there had been interest in the former Manchester City winger from other teams in La Liga.
However the French manager wanted to keep hold of 20-year old, to offer back up his first team squad.

Manchester City and Barcelona rival Sevilla for Albert Sambi Lokonga

Sevilla are set to be rivalled by Premier League and La Liga sides for Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Julen Lopetegui's side have been linked with the Belgian U21 international in the past, but now Manchetser City and Barcelona are both now reported to be interested in a move for the 21-year old.

Lokonga is out of contract with Anderlecht in June 2020, and clubs outside Belgium are free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with him from January.

Nolito on the verge of Celta Vigo move

Sevilla CF forward Nolito is set to return to former club Celta Vigo.

Fran Escriba's side have been linked with a move for the former Manchester City player for the majority of the summer, however a deal is yet to be struck between the two clubs. 

The reported issue is over Sevilla's demand for €2.5m for the 32-year old, despite his contract at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan ending in June 2020.

According to reports in UK newspaper the Daily Express, Guardiola wants to bring the Spanish international to the the Premier League as he looks to strengthen their title defence.

Granada sign Yangel Herrera from Manchester City

Granada have signed Manchester City midfielder Yangel Herrera on a season-long loan deal.

The Venezuelan international caught the eye for his national side during the 2019 Copa America, and the La Liga new boys have swooped in to make their sixth signing of the summer.

The 21-year old is yet to make a senior appearance for Pep Guardiola's side, and he has spent the last three seasons out on loan, with two years at partner club New York FC and the 2018-19 campaign at Huesca.

Manchester City confirm Rodri capture

Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri Hernandez, who joins the Premier League champions on a five-year contract.

It was reported on Wednesday that City had met Rodri’s contractual release clause, said to be set at €70m. City’s official website has confirmed Rodri’s signing, though not the fee paid.

Football Italia website
