Official: Milan land Sevilla defender Simon Kjaer

Milan have completed the loan signing of central defender Simon Kjaer from Sevilla, it has been confirmed.

The Denmark international - who had been on loan at Atalanta this season - joined the Andalusian club from Turkish side Fenerbahce two summers ago and had made 64 first-team appearances for Los Rojiblancos in the time since before exiting on loan last summer.

Gareth Bale to return for Real Madrid clash with Sevilla

Real Madrid are confident that Gareth Bale will be fit in time for their crunch La Liga clash with Sevilla on January 18.

The Welsh international has not travelled with Zinedine Zidane's squad for their Spanish Supercopa games in Saudi Arabia, due to a chest infection, however that is only likely to be a precaution from the club's medical staff.

Zidane had left the door open for Bale to join up with the squad following their 3-1 semi-final win over Valencia on January 7, stating that a decision would be made later in the week.

Sevilla vice-captain Daniel Carrico has received an offer from the Chinese Super League on a January move, report ABC de Sevilla.

Espanyol close to landing Benfica striker Raul de Tomas

Espanyol are set to sign Benfica striker Raul de Tomas in a €20m deal, according to a report in Cadena Cope.

De Tomas joined Lisbon giants Benfica from Real Madrid in the summer in a €20m switch but hasn’t scored a league goal for the club, for whom he has made just seven appearances in the competition.

The 25-year-old netted 14 La Liga goals in 32 starts on loan at Rayo Vallecano this season but it was not enough to save the side from relegation back to the second tier.
