Galatasaray, Fenerbahce rivalry for Sevilla's Ever Banega

Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are both interested in landing Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega, according to reports.

Banega’s contract at Los Rojiblancos is up at the end of this season and it is claimed that the club will consider cashing in on him this January.

Estadio Deportivo cite reports in the Turkish press that claim that both of the Istanbul giants are keen on the technically gifted midfielder.

Sergio Reguilon 'very happy' with Sevilla loan move

Sergio Reguilon has spoken of his happiness with his decision to join Sevilla on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.

Reguilon started 21 games for the outgoing European champions last season including four in the Champions League but had fallen out of favour under the returning Zinedine Zidane who preferred Marcelo in the position.

His situation in the Spanish capital was compounded further by the €55m summer arrival of Ferland Mendy from Lyon, hastening Reguilon’s loan exit.

Sevilla battle Manchester United for Mexican international Sebastian Cordova

Sevilla and Manchester United are both interested in landing Mexican international Francisco Sebastian Cordova, according to reports.

The 22-year-old won his first international cap earlier this year and has netted three goals in his last seven appearances for his club side America.

Portuguese media outlet A Bola claim Benfica are hopeful of rivalling the interest from the Andalusian club and United in the midfielder, who transfermarkt claim has a market value of €1.2m.

Espanyol appoint ex Sevilla boss Pablo Machin

Espanyol have been appointed former Sevilla boss Pablo Machin after dismissing David Gallego, the club have confirmed.

Machin was famed for guiding Girona to their first ever promotion to the top-flight in 2017 and subsequently led them to a top-half finish using his 3-5-2 formation.

Ousmane Dembele refuses to discuss Sevilla red card

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele has reportedly declined to talk about his sending off against Sevilla.

The French international was dismissed in the closing minutes of the 4-0 Camp Nou, after allegedly criticising referee Antonio Lahoz's earlier decision to send off team mate Ronald Araujo.

After initially appearing to be a second yellow card for the former Broussia Dortmund man, Lahoz confirmed that it was a straight red card, meaning his will miss the EL Clasico tie with Real Madrid if his three game ban is upheld.

Gerard Pique avoids El Clasico suspension

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has avoided a potential El Clasico suspension after collecting a late yellow card against Sevilla.

La Blaugrana's 4-0 win over Julen Lopetegui's side ended in controversy as Ronald Araujo and Ousmane Dembele were boh sent off in the final five minutes.

However in an incident that was only picked up on after the full time whistle, the veteran centre back was cautioned for kicking the ball away in frustration in added time.

Ernesto Valverde criticises double red card against Sevilla

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has question the match officials after he saw two players sent off in the closing stages in their 4-0 win over Sevilla.

Debutant Ronald Araujo was shown a straight red card for a foul on fellow substitute Javier Hernandez - who was clean through on goal - with two minutes to play at the Camp Nou.

The situation as made worse as Ousmane Dembele was then dismissed for his excessive protests to referee Antonio Lahoz - but Valverde felt the red cards were harsh.

Arturo Vidal hails vital Barcelona win over Sevilla

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal heaped praise on his team mates following their 4-0 win at home to Sevilla.

The victory moves Barcelona up into second place in La Liga, two points behind leaders Real Madrid, ahead of the international break this week.

"It was very important that we won tonight.

"We had to win, with the international break coming up.

"We had chances to score tonight and we took them, that efficiency is important in this league."

Barcelona issued a La Liga title warning to Real Madrid with a dominant 4-0 at home to Sevilla.

Ernesto Valverde's side were in control from start to finish against Julen Lopetegui's visitors, with three first half goals putting the defending La Liga champions in command.

Luis Suarez got the ball rolling for the hosts on 28 minutes, netting a spectacular bicycle kick from close range, after being picked out by Nelson Semedo's deep cross.
