Valencia taking Spanish FA to courts over Supercopa payments

Valencia are taking the Spanish FA to court over the payment structure of the Spanish Supercopa, report Cadena Ser.

It is claimed that Los Che were only ever guaranteed to earn €2.5m from the competition, while Real Madrid were always set to earn a minimum of €5m from the trophy.

Controversially held in Saudi Arabia for the first time ever, the tournament was expanded to four teams for the first time in its history.

Jeison Murillo set to join Celta Vigo

Central defender Jeison Murillo is heading back to La Liga as he looks set to join Celta Vigo on loan from Valencia, report Marca.

The Colombian international joined Serie A side Sampdoria this summer on loan from Los Che but he has featured in just 10 matches for the Blucerchiati this campaign.

Since October 30, the 27-year-old has been limited to a mere 139 minutes for Claudio Ranieri’s side and now he is returning to La Liga.

Spanish clubs have sold less than nine percent of their ticket allocation for the revamped Spanish Supercopa tournament.

A report in El Mundo outlines how paltry ticket sales have been for the event which is being staged in Saudi Arabia - a move which has proved hugely controversial - and the entire trip encompasses a total of 6,672km from Madrid.

Rodrigo Moreno to miss Valencia's Supercopa clash with Real Madrid

Valencia have confirmed that striker Rodrigop Moreno will miss their Spanish Supercopa trip to Saudi Arabai next week.

The Spanish international suffered a sprained knee in their final game of 2019, in a 1-1 draw away at Real Valladolid, and he was subsequently omitted from the match day squad for their 1-0 against Eibar this weekend.

Valencia to renew deal of defender Ezequiel Garay

Valencia boss Albert Celades has confirmed the club are hopeful of renewing the contract of defender Ezequiel Garay this month.

The experienced central defender celebrated his 33rd birthday in October but he remains a key figure for Los Che, for whom he has started 19 matches this campaign.

Toni Lato agrees Osasuna loan for 2020

Valencia defender Toni Lato has reportedly agreed a six month loan deal to join La Liga sie Osasuna in January.

According to reports in Marca, the 22-year old, has been recalled to the Estadio Mestalla from his current loan at Eredivise side PSV Eindhoven.

The Spanish U21 international joined the Dutch side on a season-long loan at the start of the current campaign, after signing a new contract with Los Che.

Valencia eye Joao Cancelo return in 2020

Valencia are reportedly eyeing a move to bring Joao Cancelo back to the club in the January transfer window.

The Portuguese international joined Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer in a £27.5M deal from Serie A giants, however he has failed to nail down a first team place under Pep Guardiola.
