Real Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane insists neither he nor the club will resist any proposed new date for El Clasico.

The tie was originally scheduled for 26 October but due to social unrest in Catalonia, has been pushed back to a yet unspecified date - which La Liga and the Spanish FA now need to confirm.

The Spanish FA, as supported by the clubs, have pushed for the date of 18 December but La Liga instead are arguing for 7 December, with the Real Madrid-Espanyol and Barcelona-Mallorca matches, scheduled for that weekend, be played on Wednesday 4 December.

Paul Pogba meeting pure chance - Zidane

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has described his meeting with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba in Dubai as ‘pure chance’.

The central midfielder has long been linked with a move to Los Blancos with his fellow Frenchman Zidane said to be a big admirer of his ability.

This new image, published UK newspaper the Daily Mirror, adds to the speculation Pogba could make a move to the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid rest Dani Carvajal for Mallorca trip

Real Madrid have decided to rest Dani Carvajal for their trip to Real Mallorca this weekend ahead of their midweek Champions League clash.

The Spain international has impressed on international duty but - despite not carrying an injury - has not been included in Madrid’s weekend trip to Palma.

Zinedine Zidane’s team face a crucial trip to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday night and Carvajal has been rested for that game, with Alvaro Odriozola instead set to start in the right-back position at San Moix.

La Liga bosses hit out at El Clasico postponement

The bosses of Real Betis and Real Valladolid have hit out at the decision to postpone El Clasico later this month.

Both clubs will face Real Madrid and Barcelona in the following weekend after the week in which the mammoth clash was due to be scheduled.

The cancellation of the game - pushed back to a currently unspecified date in December - leaves both the Blaugrana and Madrid with an extra week in which to prepare for their following league games compares to their opponents.

Takefusa Kubo: Real Madrid have a plan for me

Takefusa Kubo has explained he opted to join Real Madrid this summer because they ‘had a plan for my career’.

The attack-minded player spent four years in the Blaugrana’s La Masia youth academy but had to leave the club in 2015 when Barcelona were sanctioned for signing underage players illegally.

Kubo, who has been nicknamed ‘the Japanese Messi’, then signed for FC Tokyo but he celebrated his 18th birthday this summer and was subsequently available to return to European football - with Madrid pouncing.

Argentineans have requested that the postponed El Clasico encounter from this clash be played in Buenos Aires, as outlined by Diario AS.

The report has outlined some Argentine fans proposed that the match be played in La Bombonera after it was postponed from being held in Barcelona on 26 October.
