Villarreal vs Malaga

Juanmi has urged Malaga to pull together and try to get a result against Villarreal on Friday, in a game he has labelled as a ‘final’.

The Anchovies will head out to El Madrigal for Week 15 with their League position somewhat compromised, as a recent run of results has left them just a point above the relegation zone.

“We’re concentrating on victory against Villarreal and turning this situation around,” the team’s 20-year-old striker Juanmi has stated at today’s Press conference.

“We need to be more together than ever before, and all pull in the same direction to start winning games.

“We’ve all talked about the situation and are determined to win Friday’s ‘final’.

“We’ve played some of our best football at some of the toughest grounds. I hope Friday’s match is a competitive one and we come home with three points.

“All the players are feeling positive and we have faith that we can move forward and get out of this hole, although we understand that the fans aren’t too happy.

“It’s crucial that the fans, coach and team are all united in order to move forward from this. We need to stay strong and all focus on our common goals.”

Juanmi scored for Malaga in Monday night’s defeat to Athletic Bilbao.

“It’s always good to score, but it didn’t help us in the end.

“We were in control of the match during the first half, but Athletic took the reins in the second half and claimed the three points.”
