Valencia vs Barcelona

Oriol Romeu has commented on how Valencia must play against Barcelona this weekend, in a game he and his teammates are strongly motivated for.

Los Che head into the Week 3 fixture at home off the back of a disappointing defeat last weekend at Espanyol.

For their 21-year-old midfielder on loan from Chelsea, the visit of his former team Barca this Sunday is an extra challenge.

“They are the toughest opponent that can come to Mestalla, we must be prepared to play well, almost perfectly, whilst we will have a small chance of winning the game,” Oriol told reporters this week.

“When they do not have the ball they are more uncomfortable. We have to get it off of them and press and steal as soon as we lose possession. We have the players capable of doing this.

“The motivation to play Barca is greater and it is felt in the dressing room and in training because we all want to play.

“If we are able to win then there will be great confidence for the next few days.”
