Rayo Vallecano might be six positions ahead but Real Sociedad will draw level with a win at Anoeta on Monday night.
And Philippe Montanier's side are brimming with confidence having recorded their first away victory of the season in Malaga last time out.
“Against Rayo I hope it goes as well as it did against Malaga,” commented midfielder Asier Illarramendi. “We have two matches at home in a week and we hope to take advantage of that to make a leap up the League.”
Rayo also defeated Malaga at La Rosaleda recently however. “The first thing is to think about winning against Real Sociedad in the next game, which will be an important one,” said striker Leo Baptistao.
