Real Betis vs Mallorca

Will Real Mallorca’s winless streak finally come to an end away to Real Betis on Saturday?

At this point it seems unlikely, given how incapable the islanders have seemed of beating anyone recently, never mind an opponent of the calibre of Betis.

That said the Verdiblancos have suffered some shock home defeats this season, versus Rayo Vallecano and Granada.

Mallorca are 19th, and have failed to win any of their last 14 games in all competitions.

Betis meanwhile, have won three of their last four and have the opportunity to leapfrog Malaga temporarily with victory in this match.

“It’s been a very hard but rewarding year,” said President Miguel Guillen earlier in the week. “We have been able to restructure the debt and ensure there is life in Real Betis.”

Kick off: Saturday December 22, 3.00 (BST)
