Real Betis vs Granada

Real Betis can leapfrog Real Madrid and go third if they defeat struggling Granada in the Friday night kick-off.

The Verdiblancos are the hosts for the first game of La Liga round 11, having also featured in the last game of round 10, beating Getafe 4-2 at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Monday.

“I want the team to be in these positions in June, not now,” commented Coach Pepe Mel after his team's impressive counter attacking display.

“I have to convince people that the most important game is now the one that follows this, against Granada, because when we are seen as favourites, Betis are a specialist in screwing things up.”

Juan Antonio Anquela's visitors are second bottom and on a run of three straight defeats but midfielder Iriney – a former Betis player – remains optimistic.

“It's a special game for me because the fans there are great. We should not have any fear, naturally we will go there in search of victory.”

Kick off: Friday November 9th, 8.30 (BST)
