Real Betis vs Almeria

Juan Carlos Garrido has affirmed his belief in the current Real Betis squad to reverse their situation, but admits that the game against Almeria is ‘vital’.

Los Beticos are bottom of the table after a difficult opening half to the season and this weekend host fellow relegation strugglers Almeria.

“It is an important game. We can and should use the games in the manner that we can grow in all aspects, our philosophy of play and also our organisation,” Garrido has stated pre-match.

“The games serve for the players to start feeling that things are being done right. The match is one that I consider to be vital.

“When I signed with Betis, I was free in the market. I wanted to train in the Primera Division because I believe that it is the best League in the world.

“When I have a job that I find interesting, I accept it because I understand that I have adequate resources to achieve the objectives in place.

“The goal now is to keep Betis in the League and we have the team for that. The players have the capacity to be higher in the standings.

“Before thinking of further signings, I must make the most of the players that I have. I we do, we will achieve our objective.

“Now we are sorting out the ideas, we have to develop habits in order to reach our best. When we have that organisation, then the talent of the players that we have will come out.

“I must make sure that this organisation exists everyday at all levels. When that happens, we will begin to understand how to win games and we will be more convinced of achieving the objective within the conditions that exist.”
