Two clubs that suffered heavy defeats last weekend, Rayo Vallecano and Deportivo La Coruna are both in need of a morale boost.
The visitors can at least console themselves with the fact that their 5-1 defeat came at the hands of champions Real Madrid, but Rayo's 6-1 pounding was delivered by Depor's fellow new boys Real Valladolid.
“Against Depor it will be difficult, but we are at home,” said Rayo midfielder Roberto Trashorras.
“We have to go out with confidence and the desire to get three points. It's a very good opportunity in front of our own people.”
“Our intention is to win, and to play well,” Depor striker Riki contributed. “But Vallecas is a complicated field, Rayo are also coming off two defeats and want a win at their own ground.”
Kick off: Saturday October 6th, 3.00 (BST)
