Atletico Madrid will be without three key men as they seek to keep pace with Barcelona by beating Real Mallorca.
The Rojiblancos, currently nine points behind Barca, will miss Radamel Falcao, Miranda and Arda Turan at the Iberostar Stadium, all suspended.
“Filipe Luis is recovering, and the suspensions for Falcao, Arda and Miranda give others the chance to play,” noted an unperturbed Diego Simeone. “We have a good match in Mallorca, and that’s what I love.”
Mallorca will play with renewed hope having finally ended their winless run by beating Real Betis just before the holidays.
“Winning in a field like Betis’ gave us an added confidence and has made us eager to face this next game,” stated defender Pedro Bigas.
