Malaga vs Villarreal

Bernd Schuster wants Malaga to beat Villarreal tonight so the team can enjoy a peaceful final four games of the season.

A win over the Yellow Submarine would give Malaga 41 points and leave Schuster’s side nine points clear of the bottom three with four games to play.

Marca has reported that Schuster told a pre-match Press conference that a win would ease tensions at the club, if not confirm their top flight status for another year.

“We’re putting importance on the game and we have to, because it is a great final,” the German said.

“Winning is important and we need a complete game to have some peace of mind for the final four matches.

“Villarreal had a great start to the season. It’s helped them be calm and not have any problems. For a promoted team it’s a great season.

“We shouldn’t give the impression of being safe. It would be a big mistake. We’ve seen many things in football.”
