Malaga are relying on hotshot striker Javier Saviola to fire them past an overachieving Real Valladolid on Saturday.
Los Boquerones are flying high in third place, three points clear of Real Madrid, thanks in part to the efforts of former Madrid striker Saviola.
“I knew I was coming to a club where the Coach makes playing good football a priority, and also to a city where the people are football mad,” said the Argentine. “It has been infectious, both for us and the supporters, and to be honest it has surpassed all my expectations.”
Segunda Division play-off winners Valladolid are eighth, surprisingly, and a visit to La Rosaleda holds no fears for striker Manucho.
“We must continue to look for results against the big teams, so lets see what we can do.”
Kick off: Saturday October 20, 3.00 (BST)
