Malaga vs Real Betis

Fabrice Olinga has outlined his optimism for returning to action for Malaga and his hope to return to scoring ways and the importance of facing Real Betis.

The Anchovies play host to Pepe Mel’s under-pressure unit on Sunday evening in Week 12 with neither side in the best of form of late.

For Malaga’s young forward, the importance of the Andalucian clash is not lost.

“Sunday’s derby will be like a final for us,” commented Fabrice to reporters today.

“It’s crucial that we play the best football we can for our fans, and return to winning ways at our home ground.”

The Cameroon international started his first game since the start of September in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw at Espanyol.

“The goals will come. It would be fantastic if I could score, and if I can assist in a goal that would also be great.

“I told the Coach that I’d be ready whenever he wants me. It was wonderful to return to the line-up on Tuesday.

“I always try and work as hard as I possibly can to increase my chances of being included in the team when the Coach structures the line-up.”
