Levante vs Valencia

Valencia are traditionally the giants to Levante's minnows in this derby but there's one point between them going into this edition.

Valencia appear to have moved out of their early season malaise with victories over Real Zaragoza and Lille at Mestalla.

“It might be the game that Levante most hope and anticipate for, playing against Valencia,” said 'keeper Vicente Guiata.

“They have much respect for us, we too for them, and we have to do things like we did this week, to get three points.”

Up and down would be a fair summation of Levante's season so far, but the last week has been mostly down, the Granotes thumped 4-0 by Osasuna last weekend then beaten 2-1 by ten man Hannover in the Europa League.

“On Sunday we have a very important game, but have little time to prepare for it,” declared Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez.

“Even so, we are hoping this week’s bad run will soon change.”

Kick off: Sunday October 7, 11.00 (BST)
