Levante vs Real Sociedad

Levante hope to transfer the good vibes of their Europa League campaign to La Liga when they welcome Real Sociedad.

The Granotes recorded a 1-0 win at home to Helsingborgs in their first group stage game last night.

“In the Europa League we have been at a very good level and we will try to move it across to the League, which is our daily bread,” said Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez afterwards.

“We are going to compete knowing that the Europa League will be complicated, for the rivals or the circumstances, but we will try to enjoy it without neglecting the attention on the League.”

Sociedad – who have won all their home games and lost all their away games so far – arrive in Valencia in the wake of a row between striker Diego Ifran and Coach Philippe Montanier.

“There are things that make me think the Coach does trust me very much,” said Ifran after playing the last five minutes of Sunday's 2-0 win over Real Zaragova.

“Obviously I'm angry because I always want to play, and because there were two important strikers out injured. I do not see that the Coach is very confident in me.”

Kick off: Sunday, September 23, 3.00pm (UK time)
