Granada vs Atletico Madrid

Granada are big underdogs against fellow Rojiblancos Atletico Madrid but have defied the odds more than once this season already.

The most pertinent example came last Friday, when they upset Real Betis with a 2-1 win at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

“The victory is very important as it brings three points to a team that never stopped believing in itself,” said Coach Juan Antonio Anquela. His side are 16th with 11 points and far from out of the woods.

Atleti are still second, just three points behind Barcelona, but not lacking in respect for Sunday's opposition.

“Although they are a smaller rival, the three points are just the same, and it will not be an easy game,” remarked defender Miranda.
