Espanyol vs Rayo Vallecano

The only winless side remaining in La Liga, Espanyol's need for three points against Rayo Vallecano cannot be understated.

“The only thing that can ease and bring confidence to the team is playing a good game,” Coach Mauricio Pochettino commented. “The next game is vital to the team, because it is important to start picking up points.”

Paco Jemez's Rayo are comfortable in mid-table having been one of the surprise packages of the season so far, but will need to be wary, as they lost their last away game 6-1 at Real Valladolid.

“We must continue to work as we have done so far in order to continue with the same pace, intensity and performances,” says striker Leo Baptistao.
