Espanyol vs Malaga

Espanyol are hoping to capitalise on Malaga's European exertions and move further towards safety in the process.

The Parakeets finally got their first win of the season last week, moving off the bottom of the League with a 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio Cornella El Prat.

“The team is feeling good after the win against Rayo,” stated attacker Sergio Garcia. “Malaga will be weary and we have to take advantage of that and make them even wearier.”

Los Boquerones produced another remarkable Champions League upset on Wednesday, Joaquin's strike giving them a 1-0 winner over Italian giants Milan at La Rosaleda.

“In the summer we woke up with uncertainty every morning,” said the goal scorer. “Look at us now.”
