Espanyol vs Getafe

Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking at Getafe’s visit as a chance for the club to rebuild their reputation.

As if the Parakeets need for points wasn’t pressing enough with the club sat at the bottom of La Liga, Pochettino wants his players to repair the club’s image after Monday’s chaotic scenes, when Joan Collet was elected as the club’s new President to a chorus of jeers.

“This game is essential, especially after the elections and the image that we gave to Spain, Europe and the rest of the world,” stated the Argentine. “It was a sad night for Espanyol.”

Getafe are slap bang in mid-table after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Real Valladolid and boast the sixth best away record in the division, having recently taken the scalps of Real Zaragoza and Athletic Bilbao on their travels.

Kick off: Sunday November 25, 11.00 (BST)
