Cosmin Contra has outlined the three qualities he believes Getafe need to beat Barcelona at Camp Nou for the first time in their history.
The Coach has spoken to Marca ahead of the match on Saturday, and despite acknowledging the size of the challenge, said El Geta would try to take three points.
“The situation we are in isn’t the most suitable but you have to go to win, to give the best of yourself for 90 minutes and do things well,” Contra said.
“Then we see if Barcelona has a bad day and we have a good day because we could really get something out of there.”
Getafe are currently 17th, two points clear of the bottom three with three games to play.
“For us the keys are working hard, that we have a good day, that we’re successful and they have a bad day,” Contra continued.
“We also need to be lucky, because to win there the difference will be the ball hitting the crossbar or going in.
“The keys are work, belief and luck.”
Contra added that the tight situation at the bottom of the table is something that could work in Getafe’s favour.
“There are six teams and two spots to go down. That’s good because there are direct matches, teams that are risking their lives and we can take advantage of it,” he said.
“We depend on ourselves. Six points will save us. That’s the goal.”
