Mario Suarez is the latest to reiterate that Atletico Madrid’s focus remains game by game and that they are only thinking now of Getafe.
Atleti have begun the season strongly and trail League leaders Barcelona by three points after 13 rounds of action.
Even whilst also remaining with a 100 per cent record so far in their return to the Champions League, the club are not getting carried away, says their currently crocked midfielder.
“It is repetitive, but we must continue with our discourse,” mused Suarez to reporters today.
“Our final is against Getafe this weekend [in Week 14]. Of course equally we appreciate the good words that our rivals have had for us.
“My injury absence? Luckily the team has done well and I have not had to suffered, but I would prefer to be with them.
“This is an injury that we must be patient with. The only thing you can do with an injury like this is wait.”
Suarez is currently suffering with a build up of fluid in his right knee.
