Atletico Madrid are aiming to commence another long winning run but Getafe have proved adept at tripping up the big boys.
Atleti's 13 game winning streak came to an end last Saturday in Valencia, and they fell three points behind Barcelona at the top of the table as a consequence.
Diego Simeone's side then lost 2-0 to Academica in the Europa League on Thursday, and whilst two defeats hardly constitutes a crisis they will want to get back on the horse with an emphatic win on Sunday evening.
“We did not play the game we wanted to, there was no stability in our game,” was Simeone's response to the defeat in Portugal.
Getafe have proved to be inconsistent this term, winning four, losing five and drawing just once, but the Azulones have pulled off impressive shocks against Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.
