Two inconsistent mid-table sides, Athletic Bilbao and Real Zaragoza are both seeking a win to give their season a bit of definition.
Athletic have won their last two but are still 12th with 21 points, two more than 14th positioned Zaragoza.
“We need to win and move clear from the relegation zone and start getting closer to the teams near the top – which is where we deserve to be,” said Los Leones winger Ibai Gomez.
“[Manolo] Jimenez's team is strong so it is bound to be a tough game. They've got quite a few points away from home, so it's going to be difficult.”
Blanquillos defender Alvaro Gonzalez warned of threat posed by Aritz Aduriz.
“They have started to pick up results too and it will be very difficult. Aduriz is now one of the best strikers in Spain and he does not forgive you if you present him with a chance.”
