Barcelona striker Neymar has confessed he was an admirer of the Catalan giants before he had even signed for the club.
The Brazilian, speaking to Mundo Leo, also acknowledged he is happy at Barca and has settled into life in Spain very quickly as they prepare to face Athletic Bilbao this weekend.
“I’ve always been an admirer of the way Barca play since the days of Ronaldinho, even more so now that I am playing alongside [Lionel] Messi, Xavi [Hernandez] and [Andres] Iniesta,” admitted the 21-year-old.
“I’ve settled in well in training and the dressing room. It has always been a dream of mine to be playing with these stars.
“Spending time with Leo, Xavi and Iniesta is a dream come true for me. It feels out of this world.”
Neymar is confident Messi will return to action soon following the hamstring injury he suffered against Real Betis and even had a message for the Argentine.
“It’s sad for the team because Leo is one of our key players. We know he can turn a game in our favour at any moment, so I hope he recovers soon.
“I hope you return as soon as possible so you can get back to helping us. Keep your chin up and best wishes,” said Neymar.
