Coach Jose Bordalas

The experienced Jose Bordalas has been in management for over two decades enjoying various stints at Alicante, Elche and Alcorcon before spending the 2015-16 campaign at Alaves, where he won 22 of his 44 games in charge.

That was enough for the Segunda title, but his style of play was considered too defensive by the Basques' board and he was sacked before the start of the following season.

The 53-year-old was back in management just a few months later, picking up the baton at freshly-relegated Getafe, and made it back-to-back promotions after he took Los Azulones back up via the playoffs.

Bordalas' cousin is Jose Ignacio Martinez, known for his stints in charge of Levante, Valladolid and Almeria.
