Gregorio Manzano admitted that Mallorca's 3-2 loss to Real Zaragoza on Saturday was 'a step back’. Manolo Jimenez meanwhile was delighted with the win.
Helder Postiga scored an 88th minute winner to ensure the Islanders stayed firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.
And the Coach has conceded that relegation is looking likely.
“The mood is not very positive,” he told a Press conference. “We have 15 points to play for and we have to recover some sort of spirit.
“Both teams were broken at the end, but the game ultimately went to Zaragoza.
“We would have been happy with a draw, but in the end they were successful in the last moments.
“It was a step back for us.”
The 49-year-old Blanquillos boss though, claimed that his team are ready to fight for a place in the League next season.
“Three points today has given us life,” he told a Press conference. “We must continue to fight.
“We have won an important game here, but it does not guarantee anything.
“I am pleased that we have delighted the fans.”
