Real Sociedad boss Philippe Montanier spoke of fatigue and Osasuna counterpart Jose Luis Mendilibar was happy after this drew 0-0 at Anoeta.
The Friday night kick-off gave La Real the chance to claim their third win on the spin and go fifth temporarily but it was the visitors from Pamplona who made the more significant climb, leapfrogging Deportivo La Coruna after frustrating their Basque hosts.
"It is true that there were two days of recovery difference between them and us, and in this game we lacked a bit of spark to make the difference," opined Montanier. "Yet we have a good dynamic, three games unbeaten."
"It was a tough game but I think we remained solid defensively and serious," said Mendilibar. "We continue to make good progress."
